Peak oil the challenge of our time
June 11th, 2008I don’t think so, I think based on the presented evidence of many scientist and analysts that we are now beyond the point of “Peak Oil” that is we can no longer supply the globe with its high demands for oil.
Why is that such a challenge? Because the governments of the world have known this was coming for over 50 years, and yet they have legislated for greater and greater consumption regardless. We are now facing the worst financial depression in the history of the world, and it will be a global recession. We are faced even in the so called developed world; with not being able to feed our own children.
Governments are planning to go to war to control the remaining oil reserves, and it’s not their children they are sending to the front line to fight, it’s ours.
I think all of this is quite a challenge, don’t you? Here at Le Bois de Grammont studying this issue has sent us in to a frenzy of activity to prepare our lifestyle to best cope with the challenge.
Over the coming months I will write about our efforts and changes so others might be inspired to do the same, we cannot afford to sit back a leave this to our governments and politicians they are taking care of them selves not us. We are the ones who have to make the changes and lead the way, we the ordinary people of the world are the only ones who can make the changes that will help us survive this challenge.
